Most European nations, plus the Americans & Canadians, list the following vaccines as needed to travel to East Africa: Hepatitis A, Typhoid, Cholera, Hepatitis B, and Rabies and Yellow fever if travelling from a country that has Yellow Fever. In practical terms, that doesn’t always apply, Carry a good insect repellent and take malaria treatment on arrival, during your stay and after you get back. With the exception of malaria that is carried by mosquitoes, the likelihood that you will come into contact with these other diseases is extremely remote.
Please remember you are visiting the tropics: this means hot weather, depending on the season, there might be rainfall, not all roads are paved so you may encounter dust. So prepare in advance, carry with you items that will make your trip enjoyable and memorable. To this end please carry the following: Sunscreen, Bug repellant, light clothes, rain coat, trekking shoes, a rucksack, face mask plus copies of your identity documents. Most of those are available here but they may not be to your liking. Aim for comfort and you won’t regret.

East African governments are taking tourism seriously, as a result of the incentives offered by the governments in this area, the quality of the offerings is on the rise. The offerings are diverse rich and cut across all price points. Your tour organizer will readily help or if you want to separate the package you could find your own. The trick though is to read review sites to get an idea of other guest
experiences with your prospective provider.

local service providers.
